When you import ceramic sanitaryware, you almost never see where it is made. This is a short walk through ours — the Chaozhou factory floor where every Chengda basin and toilet is cast, fired and inspected before it is packed into your container.
Key takeaways
- Factory-direct — we are the manufacturer in Chaozhou, China's ceramic sanitaryware capital, not a trading company. 25 years, exporting to 50+ countries.
- A full vitreous-china line — slip-casting, 1,250 °C kiln firing, glazing, QC and packing, all under one roof.
- See it for yourself — the clip below is real footage from the floor. Every model is CUPC and ISO 9001 backed.
01 Where it's made
Chaozhou — the ceramic city
Chaozhou, in eastern Guangdong, is the largest ceramic sanitaryware production base in China. Generations of kilns, glaze chemists and mould-makers sit within a few kilometres of each other. It is the reason a Chengda basin can move from a sketch to a fired sample in weeks, not months.
We have manufactured here since 1999. Not a sales office, not a middleman — the people who answer your email work in the same building as the kiln.
The clearest answer to "who am I really buying from?" is to show you the floor.
02 The process
From slip to container
Vitreous china is unforgiving — every stage has to hold, or the basin fails years later in a customer's bathroom. Here is the line at a glance.
Five stages, one roof
| Stage | What happens | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Casting | Liquid slip poured into plaster moulds; the body forms as the mould draws out water. | Decides wall thickness and shape accuracy. |
| Firing | Dried bodies fired at 1,250 °C through a full kiln cycle. | Vitrifies the body — under 0.5% water absorption. |
| Glazing | Glaze sprayed and re-fired to a sealed, gloss or matte surface. | Stain resistance and the finish the buyer sees. |
| QC | Flush testing, crazing and dimension checks, visual grading. | Catches defects before they ship. |
| Packing | Foam, cartons, pallets — retail or OEM-branded. | Survives the sea freight to 50+ countries. |
03 Watch the floor
One minute inside the factory
Photos flatten a factory. A short clip does not. This is unedited footage from the Chengda floor — the people, the casting line and the daily rhythm behind the products in our catalogue.
04 Why it matters
Why factory-direct changes the deal
Buying straight from the factory removes a layer of cost and a layer of distance. You get the real lead time, the real MOQ, and an engineer — not a reseller — when a glaze, dimension or certification has to change. That is what OEM and ODM work actually needs.
You are not buying a photo. You are buying a factory.
